Airline Strategy Awards Reward oneworld Alliance

April 29, 2007

oneworld Alliance once again did an almost clear sweep of aviation awards at the 2004 Airline Strategy Awards, reported on July 19, 2004.
oneworld Alliance member airlines received 4 of the 6 awards crushing the airline alliance competition leaving other airlines completely humiliated. None of the other airline alliance members received an award.

The top prize, for Executive Leadership was awarded to Aer Lingus Chief Executive Willie Walsh.

The award for Marketing was awarded to LAN Airlines for the very successful unification efforts of LAN CHILE, LAN PERU, LAN ECUADOR AND LAN DOMINICA.

The Operations award was given to American Airlines for its successful organization of peaks at the Chicago O’Hare and Dallas/Fort Worth hubs.

The Technology prize went to British Airways for enabling passengers to manage their trips more effectively through their comprehensive British Airways website.

When it comes to quality customer service oneworld Alliance is far surpassing its (for now) larger airline alliance competitors. Greed is good as Michael Douglas said … in this example superior organizational skills and flexibility of a gigantic organization are resulting in fantastic growth.
